We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all support.
At Linda CJ Turner, we have always believed that people deserve more than being placed into a standard programme and given a collection of generic worksheets.
People are individual. Their experiences are individual. Their needs are individual.
That belief sits at the heart of everything we do.
We create bespoke therapeutic and educational programmes designed around the individual, with structured sessions supported by personalised workbooks, recordings and practical exercises that can be used between appointments.
And that is one of the reasons our work continues to grow steadily.
We don’t simply provide a session. We create a programme.
For us, the work does not begin and end with a conversation.
A session may be an important part of the process, but it is only one part.
Where appropriate, we develop a programme around the individual and the areas they need to explore.
That might mean working on:
- trauma responses;
- emotional regulation;
- confidence and self-belief;
- boundaries;
- relationship patterns;
- emotional abuse and coercive control;
- understanding the nervous system;
- rebuilding a sense of identity;
- recognising triggers;
- developing practical strategies; or
- learning how to move forward after difficult experiences.
The programme evolves around the person rather than expecting the person to fit the programme.
The work continues between sessions
This is one of the areas in which we deliberately do things differently.
Our clients may receive bespoke workbooks, recordings, exercises and supporting resources to use between sessions.
These resources are designed to complement the work taking place during appointments.
Instead of leaving a session with a head full of information and waiting until the next appointment to revisit it, clients can have something practical to return to.
They can reflect.
They can write.
They can practise.
They can listen again.
They can notice changes.
And they can bring what they discover back into the next session.
The therapeutic process can therefore become something they actively engage with between appointments, rather than something that happens only during an appointment.
Why this matters to institutions and health providers
Our approach is also one of the reasons we are able to work alongside institutions, organisations and health providers where appropriate.
Professional organisations need services that are structured, responsible and clearly defined.
They also need to know that individuals are not simply being given generic advice and left to navigate difficult circumstances alone.
Our bespoke approach allows us to provide structured support while recognising that individuals can have very different histories, circumstances and needs.
We understand the importance of:
professional boundaries.
clear communication.
appropriate referral.
confidentiality.
safeguarding.
defined programmes.
And perhaps most importantly, knowing the limits of our own role.
We do not claim to replace doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists or specialist healthcare services.
Where specialist medical or clinical intervention is required, appropriate professional support should be sought.
Our role is to provide the therapeutic and educational support that falls within our own scope.
Growing steadily because we take our work seriously
We are proud that our client numbers are growing steadily.
But growth is not the only measure that matters to us.
How we grow matters.
We want to build our practice through trust, professionalism, meaningful relationships and the quality of the service we provide.
We would rather grow steadily by doing our work well than chase numbers simply for the sake of numbers.
Our aim is to create a service that people feel comfortable recommending to someone they care about — and one that professionals and organisations can work alongside with confidence.
Different doesn’t mean making promises
Being different does not mean claiming that our approach is suitable for everyone.
It does not mean promising a particular outcome.
And it certainly does not mean suggesting that one therapeutic approach can solve every difficulty.
Quite the opposite.
Being different means recognising that individuality matters.
It means taking time to understand the person.
It means adapting the programme where appropriate.
It means providing resources that can support the work outside the session.
It means recognising when someone needs additional professional help.
And it means maintaining appropriate boundaries throughout the process.
We are proud of the way we work
There are many professionals and organisations providing support for emotional wellbeing and difficult life experiences.
We are not trying to be everything to everyone.
We have chosen to develop a service with a particular philosophy:
Listen to the individual.
Understand the circumstances.
Create a programme around the person.
Give them meaningful work to continue between sessions.
Review and adapt where appropriate.
Know when additional professional support is needed.
That is what we mean when we say we do things differently.
Our growth is built on that difference
As our work continues to develop and our numbers steadily increase, we remain committed to the principles that brought us here.
We are proud of the relationships we are developing with individuals, institutions and health providers.
We are proud that our approach can be flexible while remaining structured.
We are proud of the bespoke programmes we create.
We are proud of the workbooks and recordings we develop to support clients between sessions.
And we are proud that our growth has not required us to abandon what makes our service personal.
We don’t want to become a service where everyone receives the same thing.
We want to continue developing a service where the person comes first.
Because that is why we started this way.
And that is why we intend to continue this way.
Bespoke. Personal. Structured. Professional.
Different by design.
