| Progress is discussed during appointments | Clients can reflect, complete exercises and record observations between sessions |
| Support is centred mainly around scheduled appointments | Support includes structured between-session work where appropriate |
| One programme may be suitable for many clients | No assumption that one programme fits everyone |
| Focus can be on the immediate issue being discussed | Looks at the wider picture, patterns, emotional responses and practical needs |
| Resources may be general | Resources can be personalised to the client’s work |
| The next appointment is the next opportunity to continue | The work can continue between appointments and return to the next session |
The difference is in the structure
A visual comparison of the components included in a standard session-based model and a bespoke programme model. This is a conceptual illustration, not a clinical outcome measure.

Illustrative comparison of service structure.
The difference isn’t simply the therapy session. It’s what surrounds it.
Our programmes are designed to give the client a structured journey rather than simply another appointment in the diary.
We take the time to understand the individual, create an appropriate programme around their circumstances, and where suitable provide bespoke workbooks, recordings and exercises to support the work between sessions.
That means the client has opportunities to learn, reflect, practise and revisit relevant material between appointments.
We don’t believe people should have to fit themselves into a programme. We believe the programme should be shaped around the person.
That is what we mean by bespoke therapy.
