A New Chapter: Supporting Women and Moving Forward

A New Chapter: Supporting Women and Moving Forward

After a long and difficult journey, my court case has taken place. No matter the outcome, my truth is out there, and that alone is a victory. For years, I felt the need to publish my full testimony, to lay bare the experiences of abuse and control I endured for decades. But now, I realize that I have nothing to prove. The weight of that burden has lifted, and my energy will no longer be spent revisiting the past. Instead, it will be invested in healing, moving forward, and embracing an abuse-free future.

For 32 years, I was silenced. The fear, manipulation, abuse and control held me captive in a reality where my voice had no place. But I have reclaimed my power. I am not afraid of men in general—only of one man, and with every reason. However, fear will not define my future. Instead, I will channel my strength into supporting other women who find themselves in similar situations, ensuring that they know they are not alone and that there is a way forward.

My next chapter will be dedicated to advocacy and support. I am proud to align myself with the European Union of Women Marina Alta (https://euwmarinaalta.org), an organization committed to empowering and assisting women who have faced domestic abuse and gender-based violence. Through this work, I will provide guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to those who, like me, are seeking freedom and healing.

There is life beyond abuse. There is strength in community, in shared experiences, and in standing together against the cycle of violence. My journey does not end with a court ruling—it begins anew with a mission to ensure that no woman has to endure what I did in silence.

Here’s to a future free from abuse, full of hope, and rich in purpose.
