Had a weird and wonderful conversation with my daughter this morning.
It started with her looking over her tea mug and saying:
“Do you ever feel like you’re living in the Twilight Zone?”
And me, mid-toast, just nodded and whispered, “Constantly.”

Because honestly, this week? It’s been like someone gave our lives a shake like a snow globe and said, “Let’s see what happens when we add glitter and confusion.”

Let’s take inventory, shall we?

✨ Someone entered my house, left muddy footprints and a gold heart, took nothing, and vanished like a budget Houdini.
✨ An old boyfriend popped out of the abyss and friend-requested my daughter… then couldn’t wait even one week to see her? Chill, ghost of bad decisions past.
✨The wine bottle somehow smashed itself on the patio in broad daylight.  Drama queen bottle, probably a Leo.
✨ A car reversed back up the road and stopped dead for a long, slow stare. Just neighborhood curiosity? Or auditioning for Black Mirror?
✨ A friend from Sweden messaged to say they’re here!… but then ghosted faster than you can say “coffee?”
✨ And last but not least: our prize cat did a full-on vanishing act, no cape, no warning. Just gone. Houdini #2.

So my daughter and I just sat there, swapping stories like we were on some cosmic prank show, and finally she said the line that sealed it:

“Seriously though… what the hell is normal?”

And that’s when it hit us: normal is a myth.
A unicorn in sweatpants.
A dryer setting and nothing more.
A concept that left the group chat years ago.

At this point, I half expect my toaster to start speaking Latin and the dog to start charging rent.

So if you’re out there wondering whether the universe is glitching or just feeling extra spicy lately—you are not alone.
We are all passengers on the same slightly wonky rollercoaster, strapped in with a cup of tea, a raised eyebrow, and a strong sense of “what now?”

Keep your sense of humor, your door locked, and your wine inside the bottle (if possible).
