Please Stop Sending Me Letters About His Past
I am going to make this very clear.
I do not want any more letters, messages or correspondence about his past, his behaviour in France, or events that took place there.
I am no longer interested in hearing about what happened in France, receiving other people’s accounts of it, or being drawn into matters that are no longer mine to deal with.
And frankly, there is something I find difficult to understand.
You were supposed to be his friend.
So if you believe his behaviour was immoral, inappropriate, abusive or illegal, why are you addressing it with me rather than addressing it with him?
If you genuinely believe something needs to be challenged, take it to the person responsible.
If you believe a crime has been committed, report it to the appropriate authorities.
If you believe his family should know, contact his family.
But please stop bringing it to me.
I have already taken the appropriate step.
I have sent the backup drive and his mobile phone to the appropriate place to be investigated.
That is where this matter now belongs.
It is no longer my business to investigate, analyse or establish what happened.
If the relevant authorities need further information from me, I may be asked to answer questions at some point. If that happens, I will deal with it when and if I am asked to do so.
Until then, I have nothing further to say about it.
I am not his investigator.
I am not his messenger.
I am not his mediator.
And I am certainly not going to spend the rest of my life receiving reports about his past.
I have done what I needed to do.
The evidence has been handed over.
The appropriate people can deal with it.
Whatever happens from here is for them to determine.
I will deal with anything that concerns me if and when I need to.
But I am not interested in receiving any more letters telling me what he allegedly did, what happened in France, what someone thinks about him, or what someone believes I should do about it.
If you have something to say to him, say it to him.
If you believe something needs reporting, report it.
If you believe his family should know, tell them.
But please do not keep sending it to me.
This is my boundary.
I am moving forward with my life.
I have no intention of repeatedly reopening the past or carrying information that is no longer mine to carry.
The matter has been handed over.
I will deal with whatever comes next, if anything, when the time comes.
Until then:
Please send your letters elsewhere.
End of story.
