There is a real astronomical event behind that statement, but the “karmic cycle” part belongs to spirituality/astrology rather than established science.

The timing is especially interesting because yesterday, 12 August 2026, there was a total solar eclipse visible from parts of Spain. NASA confirms that it occurred because the Sun, Moon and Earth aligned, with the Moon passing directly between Earth and the Sun. (NASA Science)

So, is the message “true”?

Scientifically:
There is no evidence that a solar eclipse causes karma, makes people leave your life, or guarantees that a new chapter will begin. The eclipse itself is a predictable astronomical alignment. (NASA Science)

Spiritually/astrologically:
Eclipses have traditionally been interpreted as periods of transition, revelation, endings and beginnings. Many people use them symbolically as a time to reflect on what they have outgrown and what they want to move towards. Contemporary astrology is certainly describing the August 2026 eclipse in those terms. (The Times of India)

And there is actually something psychologically useful in the wording:

“What is meant to leave your life will leave. What is meant for you will find its way.”

I wouldn’t interpret that as sit back and let the universe do everything. I’d interpret it as:

Stop forcing what continually hurts you. Stop chasing what doesn’t reciprocate. Stop trying to resurrect something that has already ended. And make room for what is healthier.

That can be incredibly powerful after a major period of change.

And there’s another way to look at “karmic cycles”

You don’t have to believe in supernatural karma to see cycles closing.

Sometimes a karmic cycle is simply a behavioural cycle.

You repeatedly tolerate something → become aware of it → develop boundaries → stop participating → experience the discomfort of change → eventually build a different life.

The karma isn’t necessarily the universe punishing or rewarding somebody.

It’s consequences.

People who lie eventually lose trust.
People who manipulate eventually lose access.
People who exploit someone’s kindness eventually discover that kindness has boundaries.
And people who spend years abandoning themselves can eventually decide:

“I’m not doing this anymore.”

That is a cycle closing.

And perhaps the most beautiful part of the eclipse symbolism is that the darkness is temporary. The Sun hasn’t disappeared. It is simply obscured for a short period before the light returns.

So if you want to use yesterday’s eclipse as a personal symbol, I’d say:

You don’t have to believe the eclipse magically changes your destiny. You can allow it to mark a psychological boundary in your own life.

That chapter is finished.

I don’t need to drag it into the next one.

What I have learned comes with me.

What I have outgrown stays behind.

And whatever comes next, I will meet it as the woman I have become.

That interpretation is spiritual without pretending that astrology is scientific fact. And honestly, that distinction makes the message more powerful, not less.
