Safe Answers for Important Questions

Is therapy right for me?

If you are experiencing emotional pain, trauma, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, confusion, or long-term stress — therapy can help.

You do not need to be in crisis to seek support. Many clients come because they feel:

• Emotionally overwhelmed
• Chronically anxious
• Stuck in unhealthy patterns
• Drained by toxic relationships
• Disconnected from themselves
• Unable to move forward

If something inside you is seeking relief, safety, or clarity — therapy may be the right step.

What if I don’t know where to start?

You do not need to have the words.

Many clients begin by simply saying:
“I don’t know what’s wrong, but I know something isn’t right.”

Together, we gently explore your experience, identify emotional patterns, and create a safe healing pathway.

There is no pressure, no expectation, and no judgement.

I’ve experienced emotional or narcissistic abuse. Can you help?

Yes. I specialise in working with survivors of:

• Emotional abuse
• Narcissistic relationships
• Coercive control
• Trauma bonding
• Psychological manipulation
• Gaslighting

Healing from emotional abuse requires deep nervous system safety, emotional clarity, and trauma-informed care— not blame, pressure, or forced insight.

Recovery is possible. You are not broken.

What if I feel scared, anxious, or overwhelmed about therapy?

This is extremely common — especially for trauma survivors.

Fear is often a sign of a nervous system that has learned to protect itself.

My approach is:

• Gentle
• Safety-led
• Trauma-informed
• Deeply respectful

You will never be rushed, pushed, or emotionally overwhelmed. We move at your pace, in your control, with your consent.

How does online therapy work?

All sessions take place via secure, confidential online platforms, allowing you to attend therapy safely from your own environment.

Online therapy offers:

✔ Emotional safety
✔ Convenience
✔ Privacy
✔ Flexibility
✔ Worldwide access

Many trauma survivors find online therapy less intimidating and more emotionally regulating than in-person sessions.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes. Research shows that online therapy is equally effective for trauma, anxiety, emotional recovery, and psychological healing.

In some cases, it is more effective, as clients feel safer and more emotionally regulated in their own space.

How many sessions will I need?

Healing is individual.

Some clients experience meaningful relief within a few sessions.
Others require longer-term trauma processing and emotional recovery.

During your consultation, we will:

• Explore your goals
• Assess emotional patterns
• Recommend a healing pathway
• Create a realistic therapeutic plan

There is no pressure to commit long-term.

What techniques do you use?

Each therapy journey is fully personalised and may include:

🧠 Neuroscience & nervous system regulation
🤍 Trauma-informed therapy
🔁 EMDR
🛠 CBT
🔗 NLP
🌿 Emotional intelligence development

This allows healing at mind, emotional, and nervous system levels.

Will I have to relive my trauma?

No.

Trauma healing does not require reliving painful experiences.

My approach focuses on:

• Safety
• Stabilisation
• Gentle processing
• Emotional regulation

You remain fully in control of what you share and when.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is online therapy effective?

Yes. Online therapy can be an effective and supportive way to work through trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties and emotional challenges. For many clients, the flexibility of working from a familiar and private environment can help create a greater sense of comfort and safety.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Every person and every healing journey is different. Some clients benefit from focused short-term support, while others choose longer-term work to explore deeper patterns, relationships and trauma. We will discuss your needs and goals together and review your progress as we go.

Is your approach suitable for complex or longstanding trauma?

I work with clients experiencing complex trauma, emotional abuse, coercive control, relationship trauma and PTSD-related difficulties. During an initial consultation, we can explore your circumstances and whether my approach and online service are appropriate for your needs.

Do you offer both short-term and long-term support?

Yes. Sessions and programmes can be tailored to your individual circumstances, goals and pace. You may choose focused support around a specific issue or longer-term work to address deeper emotional patterns, relationships, self-worth and personal growth.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you would like to change and what support you need. We will work at a pace that feels manageable and establish a safe, collaborative foundation for your work together.

Do I have to talk about everything that has happened to me?

No. You are always in control of what you share and when. Trauma recovery does not require you to disclose everything immediately. We can begin with what feels safe and appropriate for you.

Do you work with both women and men?

Yes. I work with both women and men. I have a particular focus on supporting women 45+ who are recovering from difficult relationships, emotional abuse, coercive control, trauma and major life transitions.

Do you offer a consultation before starting?

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can briefly discuss your situation, what you are looking for and whether my approach is the right fit for you.

Is everything confidential?

Yes — all sessions and communication are strictly confidential, professional, and secure.

Your privacy, safety, and dignity are fully
