I didn’t always see it this way. For years, I thought life was just about keeping going, doing what was expected, and holding everything together. But slowly, I began to realise that my values—what truly mattered to me—were not the same as the values of the people closest to me.
Your values are the compass. They show you what you’ll fight for, where you’ll invest your energy, and what you simply can’t compromise on.
Your beliefs, on the other hand, are the lens. They either allow you to see possibilities, or they convince you to stay small and stuck.
For a long time, I lived by default. I didn’t stop to examine either. And when I finally did, it hit me: some of the partnerships and relationships I was holding onto were built on completely different values than mine. No wonder I felt drained, conflicted, and out of alignment.
That was the turning point. I realised I had a choice—I could walk a different path. And yes, it was painful, but it was also liberating.
If you’re feeling stuck right now, maybe this is your moment too. Try asking yourself:
✨ What are my top three values today?
✨ Do they match the life I say I want to create?
✨ And what beliefs am I still carrying—about myself, about others, about what’s possible—that I need to release or strengthen to move forward with clarity?
Because here’s the truth I’ve lived: the seasons that feel like they’re breaking you are often the ones shaping you. What looks like an ending can actually be the beginning of something truer, more aligned, and more powerful.
For me, crisis wasn’t just pain—it was a catalyst. The very moment I thought I had lost everything was actually the start of me finding myself.
And if it can happen for me, it can happen for you too. 💛
