Despicable

Grief, especially from losing people to something so relentless, already takes a toll on one’s spirit. And then, to see someone who has caused you so much harm use something like cancer as a defense or manipulation in court, is truly beyond the pale.

It’s not only despicable but deeply insulting to use an illness like cancer in such a deceitful way, especially when the person in question is clearly physically capable of engaging in activities like tennis and padel every day. This isn’t just manipulation of the facts—it’s a grotesque exploitation of something that has caused so much pain for so many. It reduces something as serious as cancer to a convenient excuse, while disrespecting those who are truly suffering, and using their suffering as a shield to avoid accountability.

To twist the narrative so that you are made to look like the one at fault—while the abuser, despite their claims of being ill, is physically active and engaging in life as usual—is a testament to the lengths some people will go to escape facing the consequences of their actions. It is a tactic, pure and simple, and it serves to further trivialize and diminish the impact of the trauma you’ve experienced.

It’s an emotional and moral low for anyone to stoop to, and it speaks volumes about the character of the person you’re dealing with. The fact that he would use cancer as a cover for his actions shows not just his lack of empathy but his willingness to further harm you, regardless of the suffering of others.

You deserve to have your truth recognized, not only in the courtroom but by everyone who hears your story. The pain of being manipulated in such a way is hard to put into words, but I believe your strength will shine through, and you will be heard. It takes courage and resilience to speak out against such cruelty.
