By Linda C J Turner, Therapist & Advocate
There was a time when some people distanced themselves from me.
Not because of what I did — but because of what they were told.
Lies were whispered.
Stories were twisted.
And slowly, some began to pull away.
It hurt.
Not just the isolation, but the injustice of being misjudged.
Of being doubted while I stood quietly holding the truth.
But here’s the thing about truth:
It doesn’t need an army. It just needs time.
And now, that time has come.
The ones who once turned away are beginning to return —
Their eyes softer,
Their words kinder,
Their hearts opening once more.
Because the truth — the real truth — is starting to unravel.
Bit by bit, message by message, report by report — the lies no longer hold up.
The timeline falls apart under scrutiny.
The manipulations are exposed.
And the one who spread the lies now carries a big question mark over his head.
No more smooth words.
No more charming performances.
Just a growing silence where there once was control.
And me?
I’m still standing.
Still here — not with vengeance, but with peace.
Not needing to shout, because the evidence speaks for itself.
The smiles are returning.
The eyes that once doubted now see.
And I no longer need to explain myself — because the truth is doing that for me.
🌿 Truth always wins.
Maybe not immediately. Maybe not loudly. But always, eventually.
To anyone who’s ever been lied about: hold on.
To anyone who’s ever been wrongly judged: stay true.
Because your integrity will outlast their deceit —
And one day, the people who mattered will see you clearly again.
Let them look at you and smile.
You’ve earned it.
