🧠 The Neuroscience of the “Unbuyable”
From a neuroscience perspective, trauma disrupts the brain’s ability to regulate, to feel safe, and to stay present. Your amygdala (fear center) goes into overdrive. Your nervous system gets stuck in fight, flight, or freeze. Your prefrontal cortex (your calm, logical, grounded self) goes offline.
But with healing — real, consistent, intentional healing — your brain starts to rewire. Neuroplasticity kicks in. You begin to form new, stable patterns that aren’t based on fear, control, or survival.
