Mother’s Day in the UK makes me pause and reflect on something very special in my life.

I have been blessed with the love of two mothers — my adoptive mother and my natural birth mother. Each of them gave me life in their own way, and each has shaped the person I have become.

To be able to know them both, to have a connection with them both, is a rare and beautiful gift that I never take for granted.

Today I hold them both in my heart with gratitude and love.
