One of the hardest things about emotional abuse is that no one sees it — because the person who hurts you in private is praised by everyone else in public.
They’re charming at dinner parties. Helpful in the community. Warm in public. But behind closed doors? They might be dismissive, degrading, manipulative, or even cruel.
If you’ve ever felt invisible, disbelieved, or like you’re the only one seeing the truth — you’re not crazy. You’re not alone. And your pain is real.
The mask they wear in public doesn’t mean your private reality is any less valid.
💔 Believe survivors. Especially when the abuser seems “too nice to do that.”
