There’s a sacred rhythm to life — a kind of divine choreography that unfolds not according to our urgency, but according to a higher wisdom. And no matter how much we push, plan, or pray for things to happen now, the truth is simple and powerful:
You cannot control God’s timing. He works at His own pace.
There is a deep humility in learning this truth. For years, I wanted justice now, healing now, answers now. I had cried out for rescue long before the rescue came, and I questioned why I had to wait so long for peace — why I had to endure so much, for so long.
But looking back now, I see that there was never a moment when I was truly forgotten. Delayed, yes. But not denied.
God’s timing isn’t about delay — it’s about preparation.
In the waiting, He was strengthening me.
In the silence, He was teaching me discernment.
In the heartbreak, He was drawing out the truth.
And when the moment finally came — whether it was a courtroom decision, a truth finally believed, or the sweet release of freedom — it came not a second too soon or too late. It came in perfect timing.
We live in a world of instant gratification, where “waiting” is often mistaken for failure or rejection. But divine timing doesn’t follow our timelines. It honors wholeness over haste. It values the fullness of healing over the illusion of quick fixes.
This journey — of surviving abuse, reclaiming my voice, rebuilding my life — has taught me to surrender to the slow unfolding. Because some seasons are for planting, others are for pruning, and only when the soul is ready does the harvest come.
So if you’re in the middle of the wait right now — for healing, for justice, for clarity, for peace — take heart. Just because nothing seems to be happening on the surface doesn’t mean the roots aren’t growing beneath. Sometimes God hides the process so that He can protect it.
Timing is everything — and divine timing is perfect.
Not always easy.
Not always what we prayed for.
But always right.
Keep showing up. Keep trusting. Keep doing the work. And when the time is right — and it will be — everything will fall into place, just as it was always meant to.
