When Toxicity Shows Its True Colors

Anticipation can take many forms, but when it’s bracing for hate mail before a court case, it speaks volumes about the other side’s character. The last round of insults and derogatory comments I received didn’t break me—instead, they became evidence. My lawyer and psychologist reviewed the messages and could only conclude one thing: the toxicity runs deep.

Friends said, “Block her; she’s toxic.” I replied, “She is blocked, but Apple’s blocked mail feature let it slip through.” Each message serves as proof, not only in court but also in the court of life. Their behavior shows the world exactly who they are when no one’s watching.

Every insult, every hateful word, is a reflection of their character, not mine. And with each message, they dig a deeper hole, revealing their true selves.

Toxicity doesn’t define you unless you let it. When faced with hate, let it strengthen your resolve and fuel your fight for justice. Light always shines brighter in the face of darkness. ✨
