The most common New Year’s resolution tends to revolve around health and wellness. Exercise more, lose weight, and eat healthier are among the top resolutions people make. Improving mental well-being, such as reducing stress or increasing mindfulness, is also increasingly popular. Financial goals, like saving more money or getting out of debt, also rank high.
As for how long they last, it varies significantly from person to person. Studies suggest that around 80% of New Year’s resolutions fail by February. Many factors contribute to this, including setting unrealistic goals, lacking a specific plan, or attempting too much too quickly. Some people find success through gradual changes and setting achievable milestones, while others may struggle due to a lack of support or motivation.
The duration of a resolution’s success often depends on the individual’s determination, support system, and the approach taken to achieve the set goal.
