Self Righteous

A self-righteous person is someone who believes strongly in their own moral superiority and tends to judge others based on their own standards. They often see themselves as right or morally superior, which can lead to a sense of entitlement or condescension towards those who don’t share their beliefs or values. They might impose their views on others, feeling they have the authority or knowledge to dictate what is right or wrong.

Self-righteousness can manifest in various ways, such as:

  1. Judgmental Attitude: They might frequently criticize or look down upon others who don’t align with their beliefs or actions.
  2. Inflexibility: They might be rigid in their opinions and unwilling to consider alternative perspectives or new information.
  3. Lack of Empathy: There could be a tendency to dismiss others’ experiences or struggles if they don’t fit into their worldview.
  4. Arrogance: They may display an air of superiority, believing they possess a superior understanding of morality or ethics.

It’s essential to recognize that everyone has biases or beliefs, but self-righteousness becomes problematic when it leads to intolerance, closed-mindedness, or a lack of empathy toward others who have different viewpoints or life experiences.
