I am so proud of my grandson just turned 18 who has been to hell and back.

Many years of being drip fed poison behind closed doors, and emotional abuse took its toll. Two generations on and many family relationships destroyed and lost years with grandparents, Aunties, Uncles and cousins.

But now after intervention from his school and the support of professionals and a great social worker  he has emerged from the other side.

With his steely determination, great work ethic  and intelligence he has worked out what is happening, and with the help of many fully qualified professionals he has turned into a beautiful empathic young man.

I am extremely lucky that I now have a wonderful warm relationship with him and no matter how hard they try, they will never ever break that bond between the two of us.

So never ever give up, it may take many years but hopefully one day someone with guts, courage and great  fortitude may step up and BREAK THE CYCLE.

Here’s hope for all grand children!!!
