When the Door Is Truly Shut

Sometimes in life, you reach a point where the door must close.
Not gently, not temporarily, but slammed, battened down, and sealed — never to be reopened.

This is not a failure.
It is a statement: you will no longer allow what is harmful to enter your life.
You will no longer bend yourself to accommodate cruelty or manipulation.

Closing a door this way does not harden your heart.
It protects your peace.
It preserves your dignity.

Some doors are meant to stay shut — so you can walk forward freely,
leaving behind what no longer serves you,
and making space for what nourishes your soul.

“The strongest hearts know when to close the door completely — not to punish, but to protect themselves.”
