Some older men seem to think they can get away with saying or doing anything just because of their age, as if it gives them a free pass to be inappropriate, entitled, or downright creepy. It’s embarrassing—for them, mostly, though they often lack the self-awareness to realize it.
There’s nothing wrong with aging, of course, but there’s something particularly cringeworthy about an older man who still acts like a sleazy teenager, ogling women, making inappropriate comments, or thinking they’re irresistible when in reality, they just come across as pitiful. Some of them seem to believe they’re charming when they’re actually making everyone around them uncomfortable.
Have you had a run-in with one of these types recently?
